I agree with Carol in that there are a few things still missing, and I have been concentration upon getting the sign up form OK and the reception of enquiries, and faults. This does not mean to say that the overall look and feel should be neglected, and I will give myself an action point to make the site more interesting (It's still a bit boring) This may include some gifs, so if anyone can supply decent pics, then please do so. Other Work Areas:- a) Secure Sign Up Form b) DNS Look Up from within the form c) More pre-sales information on elements of the services e.g. Cold Fusion, SQL Server, FP 2000 & Office Extensions, server configurations and services (see webfusion) d) DNS Registration Area (CSC) 2) Sign Up and New Work Flow (NL/JF) The sign Up form is complete and has now got an online invoice, and a sign-up E-Mail. This area needs another look at the information we are gathering via the sign up form. I know it is multi-page, and this may seem an incumbance compared to some other single page sign-Up forms, but if we are into technical hosting, we have to live with the options for selecting a hosting plan to suit. Areas requiring attention. a) Another look at the sign up form with a view to making it gather only the information we need at startup. b) Customer communications c) The back end work flow to progress a job to completion. This should be built into the admin process. d) How we handle faults coming in. e) How we handle enquiries. 3) Resellers Area and Contact Us (CSC & RC) This is a business area which needs much tightening up and some rules and regulations wrapped around it. Work Areas. Resellers Contract. Resellers SIgn Up Form How do we handle charging for resellers accounts as the reseller adds more accounts, and the discount gets greater. 4) Support Area (IR/DC/JF) The setup of a new support area which is obtainable via login, as well as the customer viewable support details and pre-sales FAQ's need careful vetting to decide the split of what goes where. The support area should also include an embryonic addon form, so that customers can change their account details, and request additional services. This should initially precede the control panel by using forms to request additional work. e.g.additional ODBC, extra space, DNS Aliases, Additional Mail Accounts etc. 5) E-Commerce (DC/CSC) Much work Has to be done at the fornt end to define how to get a site up and running on E-Commerce in EASY STEPS, and to explain the E-Commerce elements of our plans. Work to be done a) Storefront Partnership b) CyberCash/SSL Process c) Web Based E-Commerce d) Cold Fusion E-Commerce (http://ealing.cyberiacafe.net/forums/Index.cfm?CFApp=3&Message_ID=181)
